Assassin’s Creed 3 – which will actually be the 5th game in Ubisoft’s brilliant Assassin series – is due for releases on October 30th and is a game which is starting to look like it will be an excellent addition to an already excellent series of games.

Assassin’s Creed 3 takes you out of the shoes of Ezio Auditore El Firenze and the streets of renaissance period Italy – the main protagonist and area since Assassin’s Creed 2 – and instead puts you in the shoes of a guy named Connor. Connor is an American who was born to a mohawk mother and a British father and the game will see him thrust into 18th century America during the time of the American Revolution.

A new character and new locations are not the only thing Ubisoft have changed for this highly anticipated game. Ubisoft have also given you some new weapons to play with, you will have access to dual pistols, a bow and arrow for silent takedowns, the obligatory hidden blade which is the assassins favourite weapon and what’s looking like being my new favourite weapon, the tomahawk!

Ubisoft also recently announced that there will be 2 collectors editions available for AC3. The first of which is called the “Join or Die” edition and comes with George Washington’s notebook and Connors Medallion all in a collectors box. It also comes with a new single player mission called “ghost of war” and a multiplayer character called the sharpshooter. The second of these collectors editions is called “The Freedom Edition” which as well as George Washington’s notebook also comes with a figurine of Connor, 2 single player missions called “Ghost of War” and “Lost Mayan Ruins” as well as the sharpshooter multiplayer character. You can see pictures of both of these below.

Assassins Creed 3 is looking like being one of the definitive games of this year! Check out the screenshots and the weapons video below.
