EA is going to be sending early copies of Mass Effect 3 into space, yes that’s right into space. The games will be attached to weather balloons that will be launched up into space from the cities of New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, London, Berlin, and Paris.

The games are going to be equipped with GPS tracking devices that fans can use to track the copies with on the games official site. Wherever the copies land someone will be able to pick up the game almost two weeks early, and even better have a copy that’s been in space.

Mass Effect 3 hits stores on March 6th. Be sure to check out the demo if you haven’t which is out right now on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
