Bioware has been incredibly tight lipped about a release date up to this point, wanting to ensure that the game is released being as good and polished as it can be. Without even having any information on if the game would release in 2011 or not, fans were starting to get worried. But now we have a definitive date that we can all count down to for Bioware’s expansive MMO.

At the Eurogamer Expo, the heads of Bioware, Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk made the announcement that the game will release in North America on December 20, 2011. It will release two days later in Europe, on December 22. The wait has been long, with only sparse information on the game, but Zeschuk took this opportunity to thank eager players, “We appreciate the patience of the millions of fans who have been waiting for the game’s release. When we launch this groundbreaking MMO with world class storytelling this holiday season, we hope you will agree that it was worth the wait.”

Bioware has also revealed the pricing plans for the game. In addition to the $50 for a standard copy of the game, players can choose from three different price models. It should be noted though, that anyone who purchases the MMO will get a free 30 days. The three pricing models are as follows; a one month subscription for $14.99, a three month subscription for $13.99 per month, and a six month subscription for $12.99 per month.
