With the looming cloud of a possible NFL-less season finally leaving, fans can begin to satisfy their much needed football hunger. As of August 9th, 2011, The Madden NFL 2012 Demo will become available through Xbox live and PlayStation Network. The demo creates a reenactment of the NFC championship game between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears. For years EA has promised us a game that would rival the innovation of NFL 2k5, and for the first time in a very long time, I finally think they will come through with that promise.
One of the most intriguing features promised by EA, is Dynamic Player Performance. This is constantly changing player ratings and confidence throughout not only a game, but an entire franchise. Players will be marked with certain tags based on their performance. Has your veteran running back been fumbling the ball the last couple of games? Don’t expect him to be able to punch it in the end zone on a 4th and goal when the game matters. Likewise, if your rookie linebacker has been crushing his opponents with backbreaking tackles, you can expect him to dominate the field like a all-star.
This is one among many dramatic changes to this years installment of the Madden franchise, that leaves both it’s fans and critics curious about its outcome.
