SEGA today announced that the popular, undead shooter is coming to the PS3, and for the first time will be in full HD with 3D support, and will be Playstation Move compatible. All seven stages of the original will be included and re-mastered, as well as two new scenarios that will be exclusive to this release.

HotD: Overkill – Extended Cut sticks you in the middle of a mutant outbreak in Bayou County, fighting for your life. This time, you’ll be able to earn trophies on the PS3, and experience new game modes and content. “The House of the Dead: OVERKILL – Extended Cut for the PlayStation®3 system will send players to the shrieking mad heart of mutant mayhem. This time we went further, faster and bloodier than before. We extended everything, even the title.” – Said Gary Knight of SEGA.

House of the Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut is due for release on October 25, 2011 in the U.S., and October 28 in Europe for Playstation Move for the PS3. More coverage is expected at this year’s E3.
