That’s right everyone, the Playstation Network has officially been turned back on, and PS3 users across the globe can now begin updating their consoles to the new firmware version (v3.61) that provides new features and added security.  Along with the official announcement on the Playstation Blog, Patrick Seybold, Sr. Director at Playstation, posted a video of Kazuo Hirai addressing the world regarding the PSN restoration. In it, Mr. Hirai touches on the several issues facing the Playstation Network outage, the password reset process, and hints at the Welcome Back package, of which full details have not yet been announced.
