Sim games come in all shapes and sizes, and if you’ve dreamed of simulating something, there’s probably a game that will let you do it. The pickings are still a bit slim on the mobile side of things when it comes to “good” sims, but we just got a new on this week from Christian West. It’s called Motorsport Manager, and it’s one of the more polished sims you’ll find on a mobile device.motorsport-manager

Kairosoft is the only company we’ve seen put out a solid car-based sim on Android with Grand Prix Story. Well, you can add another game to that short list with Motorsport Manager, and while it shares some similarities with GPS, the games are quite different in a few key areas. Both involve F1 racing and have a lot of depth, but graphically its obviously like night an day.

In a nutshell, Motorsport Manager puts you to work running your very own racing team, but you won’t be toiling around on a dirt track or even get to drive. You have to manage an F1 team, and take on all the tasks that come along with it like dealing with drivers, car development and sponsors. The races may be simulated, but you’re on the other end of the mic telling your drivers when to pit for a tire change or be aggressive.

Motorsport Manager looks simple on the surface, but there’s quite a bit of depth and strategy involved once you start getting into the higher rated tiers. It’s the type of game that quietly sucks you in, and before you know it, you’ve been played for 2-3 hours with a sliver of battery left. Needless to say, if you love sims you’ll want to check this one out, and if you dig racing sims you’ll be in hog heaven. Christian West’s Motorsport Manager can be yours for $1.99 on Google Play.
