If you were alive the 80s, there’s a chance you stumbled into an arcade or two, and you probably dropped a couple of quarters into Q*bert. The cursing orange create finally made his way to mobiles a few days back, and he has arrived to fulfill your retro gaming needs.

Q*bert Rebooted is one of those games where the name says it all. It’s the same Q*bert we all know and love, but rebooted for a new audience and optimized for mobile devices. If you grimaced or groaned at the thought of a revamped Q*bert, have no fear as the classic game is still alive and kicking.

Folks that loved the original will be pleased to know there’s a classic mode that keeps the isometic pyramid the same. This means you can go up against Wrong Way, Ugg and the rest of the gang just like you did back in the day. If you want something a bit different, you can opt for the “rebooted” mode in Q*Bert Rebooted which puts a 3D spin on things.

The gameplay in the new mode stays the same, but the blocks and enemies are revamped. There are three new villains with Uppercut, Homer and Treasure Chest, but you’ll also get to play with seven new characters which is quite the surprise. They are all Qbish as well with names like Q*tee, Q*zard, and the Q*nicorn.

We haven’t had a chance to play Q*Bert Rebooted yet, but it looks like a solid arcade game and we already know the classic mode is solid. There’s no demo available at this time, but the full version of Sideline Amusement’s Q*Bert Rebooted will only set you back $1.99.
