We’ve been treated (or tricked) to a new Madden game for mobiles over the past few years, and the newest version has just hit the app stores. Ready to play quick games for coins so you can buy cards?

Unless you’re just getting into mobile gaming, you probably played or know someone that felt violated by last year’s mobile Madden. Unfortunately, the freemium aspect is back again this year, but things seem to have been adjusted so you don’t have to pay-to-play. That said, you’re still going to have to deal with energy gauges and the expensive card packs.

Madden NFL Mobile has several different modes of play including Live Events that offer up special prizes and turn-based heads up matches. You can play a full season and do some challenges as well, but I haven’t had a chance to delve into that side of the game yet. I did run around several turn-based matches and did a few events as well – good times if you dig mobile football games.madden.nfl.mobile-1

I also spent a large part of my time in the Auction house, and so will you. The only tip I can give is if you see a player you want and have the money, buy them immediately. I checked on several rookies and within 10 minutes, half of the cheap ones were gone. I was also outbid and ‘sniped’ at the auction block. Needless to say, you’ll have fun at the auction if you enjoy the thrill of the hunt on eBay.

Madden NFL Mobile is a large improvement over last year’s game, and “most” fans should be pleased with this year’s. It will take a while for you to build up your Ultimate Team, but you’ll have fun doing it and it won’t be as difficult this time around.
