If you’ve been longing for a unique game to play on your favorite Android device today is your lucky day. Developer ustwo finally brought their iOS hit Monument Valley to Android today and it’s our pick for the Android Game of the Week.

Monument Valley is a puzzler in the vein of Fez whereas you use the environment around you to progress through the game. There’s no fighting, leveling up or unlockables – it’s just a silent princess and a lot of mysterious crow people along with a slew of switches and stairways.

The gameplay is straightforward and some would say simple, but there’s more to Monument Valley than just sliding blocks around or stepping on switches. It’s a game with a bit of a story and its set against some of the most beautiful backdrops you’re likely to see in game. Seriously, it’s gorgeous and very easy on the eyes.

The world shifting mechanics fit Monument Valley perfectly and while the puzzles may monument.valley1leave you puzzled for very long, there are still 10 insane stages progress through. It’s not much, but unless you’re a puzzle guru or fly through the game, it should still keep you busy for an hour or two.

Monument Valley isn’t going to be a game for everyone, but if you like ‘artsy’ games or want something different, you should really pick this one up. If you’re ready to take a strange trip, you can head on over to Google Play and pick up ustwo’s Monument Valley for $3.99.
