We all knew it was just a matter of time before Disney delved into their properties for more Disney Infinity action, and today they made it official by announcing Disney Infinity Marvel Super Heroes.

Disney Infinity 2.0 will be full of Marvel goodness, and at today’s announcement Agent Coulson, Joe Quesada and Brian Michael Bendis took to the stage to unveil the new lineup. A trailer and several figures were shown off including fan favorites like Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, Hulk and the Black Widow.disney_infinity_2_marvel_starter_pack

Dozens of characters are expected to be added along the way including heroes from Guardians of the Galaxy, Loki and MODOK although it’s safe to say we’re not going to see any of Marvels darker characters like Morbius or Daimon Hellstrom aka Son of Satan anytime soon.

Everything you loved about the original Disney Infinity release will be back in 2.0, but bigger and a bit badder as its Marvel. An example would be 2.0’s Manhattan which is said to be four times larger than the Incredibles playset as heroes need a little room to fly about. The level cap will also be raised and customization will be expanded.

Disney Infinity Marvel Super Heroes is set to make its debut this fall and it will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, Ps3, Xbox 360, iOS and PC. A new starter pack will be ready to go at launch featuring an Avengers theme with Thor, Iron Man and the Black Widow.
