Slide to create, tap to destroy – that’s the name of the game in Polymer. Polymer uses a sliding mechanic similar to Chuzzle to suck you into its colorful world. Once it has your attention, it’s going to keep it with four modes of play, leaderboards and a slew of achievements. This colorful puzzler will keep you busy for hours on end, and it’s only going to set you back a buck.
6. Disco Zoo
What happens when you throw a bunch of pixely animals into a Zoo with a Disco Ball? You get Disco Zoo from NimbleBit! Yup, it’s another pixelated game from the makers of Tiny Tower, but instead of erecting a tower you’ll spend your time capturing animals through matching games, and holding disco parties to keep your animals from snoozing. It’s simple, but a lot of fun and it’s free to download.
2K Games brought fans of XCOM a treat this week when they finally dropped XCOM: Enemy Unknown for Android. It’s essentially the same award-winning game from PC’s and consoles shrunken down for your mobile device, and there’s loads of depth there as you’d expect. All that fun comes with a high price tag though as XCOM: Enemy Unknown is going to set you back $9.99.
Sniper games generally have to take down a set amount of bad guys per level. Sniper Tactical does just throws a twist into the mix with the addition of hostages. You’ll have to take out the enemies one at a time to get your hostages to the safe zone which throws a bit of strategy into the mix. We weren’t able to spend much time with Sniper Tactical, but it looks like a solid sniper game and you can check it out for free.
