A few weeks ago we brought you a list of 10 game franchises we thought deserved a sequel or a reboot. Well we couldn’t stop at just 10, and with the help of some of your suggestions we give you the second installment of game franchises that need to make a comeback.

Dark Cloud

Dark Cloud debuted on the Playstation 2 back in 2000. It was a unique role playing game in which you helped rebuild villages. There was a sequel made in 2002 featuring an all new cast of characters, but we haven’t heard of the franchise since. A Dark Cloud game on the PS4 or Vita is definitely on our wishlist.

Custom Robo

The Custom Robo franchise has only seen 2 installments reach North America. Gamers will most likely remember the first Custom Robo on the Gamecube. Custom Robo Arena was released on the Nintendo DS but did not have the same success as the original. Who wouldn’t love to see this robot fighting franchise on the 3DS or WiiU?

DMC: Devil May Cry

The most recent game on our list that may have some people scratching their heads. Some people disliked the DmC reboot due to Dante’s new appearance, but the new style of hack and slash gameplay was awesome. We’re hoping that DmC: Devil May Cry will get a sequel, but due to poor sales that may be up in the air.

Mercenaries

Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction was released back in 2005 and was a unique open world military action game. Taking down notorious military king pins and stopping nuclear war was so much fun that a sequel was released in 2008. Fans of the franchise will be happy to hear that a new installment of the franchise titled Mercs Inc. is in development.

Tenchu

There has been a string of mediocre Tenchu titles released since the first 3 successful games. If a Tenchu reboot was made and the ninja stealth franchise was brought back to it’s former glory that would make many fans of the franchise very happy.

Road Rash

This one is pretty much self explanatory. Who doesn’t love Road Rash? A revamped Road Rash game on the new generation consoles would be awesome, even if it was the once rumored Burnout vs. Road Rash. A title called Road Redemption has had a successful Kickstarter campaign and been green lit on Steam so we will have to wait and see what is next for the franchise.
