This week’s pick for the top new Android game comes from the mind of Andrei Mankevich and it goes by the name of Paperama. Andrei teamed up with the folks at FDG Entertainment to produce this lovely little paper folding game, and it’s quickly become one of our favorites.
Sometimes you want to pick up the mobile and do a little hack n’ slash or fling feral fowl around. Paperama is not that type of game. It’s about as laid back as you can get, and it’s good clean fun for kids and adults.
The game is all about folding paper into Origami, but you won’t start out making tricky swans, steamships or dragons. Paperama starts out with simple things like diamonds, suitcases, and beams of light before amping up the difficulty.
If you think folding paper doesn’t sound like much of a game, you’re wrong as you have to stay within the “fold limit” and hit a set percentage to move on to the next level. Needless to say, it’s much easier said than done and Paperama will put your brain into a twist well before you get to the Jabara levels.
If I had to pick a word to describe Paperama other than awesome, it would be pleasant. It’s a pleasantly awesome experience with a soothing soundtrack and more puzzles than you can shake a stick at. If you’re looking for a great new casual game, you’ve found it. Paperama is ad-supported, but free to download on Google Play.
