Last week, we told you what you could expect from TinyCo and Fox’s new Family Guy game, and now the day has arrived. Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff is out now for Android and iOS, and gamers around the globe can surf the bird to their hearts content.
Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff is essentially The Simpsons Tapped Out set in Quahog. The premise of both games is to rebuild the city after a devastating accident, but the games couldn’t be more different in terms of humor and the whacky shenanigans going on in the background. You’re not going to see Marge hit the stripper pole, but Bonnie will.
As you’d expect, there are plenty of things to build in Quahog so you’ll get to construct all sorts of things including the Brain Damaged Horse in the Quahog Derby Stables and James Woods High just to name a few. There are a slew of characters to unlock along with special costumes like Hooker Peter and Quagmire in a Speedo. Giggity…
A lot of Family Guy fans have been waiting for a city builder like this, and now they’ve got their wish. The Quest for Stuff has a lot going for it, but it also has the dreaded freemium model working against it. Needless to say, the comparisons to Tapped Out extend to the in-app purchases. We’ll be back with a full review of the game this weekend, if you’re itching to check it out now you can pick up Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff for free on Google Play and the App Store.
