We’re used to seeing paladins, ogres, robots and even narwhal’s in video games – goats, not so much. There are a few goat-themed games set to arrive this year, and a cool looking one dropped today with Magical Time Bean’s Escape Goat 2.
As the name implies, Escape Goat 2 is the sequel to 2011’s Escape Goat. It’s a puzzling platformer of sorts involving a purple goat that’s attempting to take on the Stronghold of Toragos with a little help from a mouse who just happens to be immortal.
The developers have upped the ante for Escape Goat 2 as they’ve doubled the rooms and filled them with more puzzles than you can shake a stick at. You’ll have over 100 rooms to take on, and the artwork got a bit of an upgrade as well as you can see from the screens.
Escape Goat 2 is essentially a bigger, badder version of the original and that’s not a bad thing by any means… especially if you liked the first one. Needless to say, this is a good one to get if you’re looking for a solid Indie that’s just a wee bit different from the usual fare. Escape Goat 2 is available today on Windows, Macs, and Linux through Steam or you can pick it up in the Bundle Store or on GOG.
