Pokémon aficionados in Europe and Australia got the good news yesterday, and gamers in North American didn’t have to wait nearly as long as they’d thought. That’s right, today Nintendo finally unleashed the Pokémon Bank for gamers in North America.
On the off chance you’ve been living under a rock, the Pokémon Bank is service from Nintendo that lets you store your beloved Pokémon in the cloud. You’ll be able to store up to 3,000 Pokémon and withdraw them any time you’d like – you can even get a free trial if you sign up before March 14.
In addition to the Pokémon Bank, you’ll have access to the companion app Poké Transporter which you can use to transfer Pokémon from Black & White and Black & White 2 to Pokémon X and Y. If that’s not enough for you, anyone that downloads the Pokémon Bank before September will get the added bonus of receiving the mythical level 10 Pokémon Celebi.
While Nintendo has yet to come out an ‘officially’ announce Pokémon Bank for North American, the app is live in the eShop and ready to download. The Pokémon Bank service one of those apps every Pokémon gamer should have, and it’ll only set you back $4.99 a year once the free trial is over.
