Hack Exhack ex

Malware and cyber-attacks were hot topics in the news last year, and now there’s a game that lets you do a little hacking of your own. Faif is a stylish Puzzle/RPG with a battle system based on gambling. It’s also one of those games you’ve just got to play to really “get” as words don’t do it justice. If you’re in the mood for a unique puzzler, Faif is definitely worth a download. The game is currently in active development but fully playable and on sale for 50% off at $0.99.

Ferris Mueller’s Day Off

Glitch Games dropped a quirky new title in January by the name of Ferris Mueller’s Day Off. As the name implies, it’s a spin on the 80s classic Ferris Bueller, but with mules and lots of puzzles instead of Matthew Broderick and Alan Ruck. If you dig point and click adventure games, it’s well worth a look and the “SD” version will only set you back $0.99.ferris mueller

Walking Dead Season One (Kindle HDX)

This one’s obviously not going to be for everyone as it’s limited to Kindle HDX owners for the time being. That said, Telltale Games The Walking Dead won countless GOTY awards and for a good reason – it’s awesome. If you own a Kindle Fire HDX you can pick up the first episode for free, but you’ll have to shell out a few bucks a piece for the other four episodes or buy the season pass.walking.dead.seasonone

Thomas Bowker’s LYNE is the second unique puzzler to make our list, and it’s as puzzling as it is relaxing. The minimalistic style kind of puts you in Zen mode while the puzzles will keep your brain busy for ages. It’s a great game for puzzle lovers and a steal at $2.50.
