One of the big draws of owning a PlayStation system is PS Plus and all the free games you get each and every month. Europe always gets the lowdown on their free offerings earlier than the US, but today we finally learned what PS Plus has in store for gamers in February.
First up we’ve got a new game for PlayStation 4 owners with Outlast, a first-person survival game that drops you in the middle of an Asylum. It looks like it will scare the pants off of you, and it’s all yours for the low price of free.
As for the Ps3 offerings, gamers will three new titles – Metro: Last Light, Remember Me, and Payday 2. All three of these are great games, and Payday 2 is a personal favorite. Needless to say, you’ll be able to wreak a lot of havoc between taking out the mutants of Last Light and swat teams in Payday 2. If shooters aren’t your thing you can always check out Remember Me, a third-person action adventure game that lets you play a thought thief of sorts.
Last but not least, PS Vita owners will be happy to get two free titles with Street Fighter X Tekken and ModNation Racers. ModNation Racers is a competitive kart racer with plenty of customizable rides, and if you don’t know what Street Fighter X Tekken is you’ve probably stumbled onto the wrong website.
PS Plus subscribers in the US definitely had some valid complaints last year about the free game selection compared to what Europe got, and it seems as if the minds at PlayStation may have heard their pleas. This month’s lineup is the best we’ve seen in a long time, and hopefully it’s just the start of things to come.
