2013 has been one hell of a year for videogames, but which games can truly be called the best?  Slimgamer has chosen two of our writers, Josh and Justin, to pick out their top 5 games of the year and compile them into a list of the top 10 games of 2013.  Each writer has picked their 5 favourite games released in 2013 with each list ending in their personal game of the year.

DmC: Devil May Cry

(PS3, 360, PC)

There may have been a lot of criticism of the new-look Dante but there is no denying that DmC was a blast to play. Although the campaign was a little on the short side, it was filled with creative boss fights, hilarious cut scenes, and insane combos to unleash with a variety of weapons. The Devil May Cry reboot was definitely one of the hidden gems of 2013.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

(PS3, 360, PC)

Who saw this one coming?  Blood Dragon is what happens when a game developers takes a proven formula and gets crazy with it.  The solid gunplay and open world mechanics of Far Cry 3 were taken and placed into a smaller, downloadable game that’s just oozing with style.  The shorter length is great – The game never wears out it’s welcome but has enough content to give you a full, satisfying experience.  Not to mention it’s one of the funniest games I’ve ever played.  It came out of nowhere but I’m certainly glad I played it.
