About a month ago we covered Sarah Northway’s brand new Kickstarter Project by the name of Rebuild: Gangs of Deadsville. Last night it wrapped up its campaign, and we’re pleased to report it was a smashing success.gangs of deadsville

Rebuild: Gangs of Deadsville had a goal of $25,000 to bring the game to survival strategists around the world. Sarah and the gang managed to raise $41,440 (CAD) which means we’re getting the game along with some cool stretch goals. First up we have extra factions that came in when the campaign hit $35k. Gangs of Deadsville is getting not one, but three new factions with the 1337cREw, The Suf-fragettes, and the Pharmacists.

The $40,000 dollar stretch goal is up to the backers to decide on, and it comes down to having seasons in the game or relationships and children. Seasons & Weather will drastically change things as you won’t be able to farm in the winter, and things can get hairy when food runs low in a town full of hungry folks. Relationships & Children bring a different element to the game as your survivors will have a chance to fall in love and spawn new little survivors. If you’re thinking there’s no time for love in a Zombie Apocalypse, I’ll say just take a look at Glenn and Maggie from The Walking Dead… ‘Nuff said. Either way, a poll will be conducted soon, and it’s up to the backers which goal gets into the game.rebuild gangs of deadsville

The Rebuild: Gangs of Deadville campaign may be over, but you can still pre-order the game from the Official Rebuild Site for $10 if you missed the games funding run. Everything is still on track, and the game is expected to hit Windows, Macs, iOS, and Android in March of 2014. If you’re interested in learning more about the Gangs of Deadville you can check out our interview with Sarah or peruse the games Kickstarter Page for more info.
