So, the Xbox One Chat Headset has been revealed. Unfortunately, there’s not much I can say about it really; it’s just your standard Xbox headset – small, skinny and looks like it could break easy. Although looks can be deceiving, the XBox team really should have worked to at least make it look more durable than the Xbox 360’s headset. I mean, it doesn’t exactly inspire confidence when the original product looks just like a cheap, no-name brand counterpart. The official statement made by Microsoft about the headset was as follows, “Keep your in-game communications crisp with the Xbox One Chat Headset. Hear friends and foes in crystal-clear digital wideband audio. The Chat Headset is designed for comfort during long gaming sessions. Plus, you can adjust the mute and volume settings without taking your hands off the controller.”

  • A better multiplayer experience
  • Chat privately with your friends while gaming
  • Chat in crystal clear digital wideband audio
  • Lightweight and comfortable for long gaming sessions
  • Responsive microphone
  • Easy to use
  • Connects to Xbox One Wireless Controller – no batteries needed
  • Mute and volume controls at your fingertips

As you can see, they haven’t said a whole lot about the headset yet but, from the pictures, I think the location of the mute button and volume buttons will make it a lot easier to reach while playing. Hopefully, it will prove to be more durable than it looks and will serve as a great accessory for gaming on the Xbox One.
