It doesn’t happen very often, but every now and then you get to use your gaming powers for good.  This is what I’m doing next weekend.  Through the charity drive Extra Life, myself and 3 friends are going to join thousands of other gamers to participate in a 24 hour gaming marathon and attempt to raise money the Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.

We’d love for you to help us.  If you take a look at the page for Team Awesome, or even my own profile, you can donate money towards the cause.  Can’t donate anything?  Sign yourself up and participate.  Don’t have time?  Spread the word, or even just leave us an encouraging comment.

Our goal is $250 and we’d love to reach it.  It’s not a lot of money, but it’s realistic and something we can accomplish.  The majority of participants will be doing their marathons starting tomorrow, but due to scheduling concerns our team will be playing next weekend.

As we go we’ll be leaving updates on this page, so keep an eye out if you want to see our sleep-deprived, overstimulated minds slowly descend into insanity.  Once again, thank you.  Even if you don’t donate, thank you for reading.
